How much are Owner Operators making a year?

Updated: Feb 12

The amount that owner-operators make can vary greatly depending on a number of factors, such as the type of cargo they are hauling, the region of the country they are operating in, and the cost of fuel. According to the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, the average income for owner-operators in 2019 was around $200,000 per year, although this can range from as low as $50,000 to as high as $300,000. However, it is important to keep in mind that many owner-operators also have significant expenses, such as fuel, maintenance, and insurance, which can eat into their overall profits.

For example, owner operators in our company in current market of January 2023 make on average $8000 -$12000 gross a week. There are 3 - 3.5 work cycles a month which brings you up to $30000 gross a month.
